Julia Leone
Julia has been teaching dance for over ten years and is a member of Canadian Dance Masters of America, Canadian Chapter #38. Julia is certified in jazz, tap, ballet and in addition qualified in lyrical, hip hop and musical theatre. Julia’s competitive experience includes successfully leading her students to award and scholarship winning participation in national and regional competitions. In recent years, one of Julia’s students won the title of Mini Miss Candance Montreal. She was also awarded the overall group/line and a choreography award at an international meet in Detroit, Michigan.

In addition to teaching, Julia has also choreographed fashion shows for “Kidz Only” clothing, as well as for The Bay, Tommy Hilfiger and Anne Klein. Prior to her teaching career, Julia successfully participated in a number of Canadian dance competitions as well as international meets in Boston, Myrtle Beach and New York.

She has been committed to maintaining her personal ongoing training with programs and seminars. Julia has attended workshops hosted by Jackie Sleight in Florida and renowned dance trainer Joe Tremaine in New York. She has a love for teaching all levels of dance and thrives on the excitement of leading her students to awards, scholarships and titles.

As if that didn’t keep her busy enough, Julia, and her husband Scott, are raising their two young boys, Nicholas and Jaxon!

Allison Leone
Although not currently dancing or teaching, Allison’s passion for dance began with 10 years of training and 5 years of teaching. A former member of the CDMA (Canadian Dance Masters of America), Allison’s dance history includes international competitions, assisting in managing a studio, running summer dance camps and an appearance at the Molson Indy.

She has covered all the major disciplines including jazz, tap, ballet and musical theatre. Reluctantly putting her dance shoes aside for the present, Allison is channelling her passion for dance in two directions, one being the co-ownership and growth of Instep Activewear with her sister-in-law, Julia. The store provides an opportunity to continue helping new generations of dancers by offering valuable experience and advice in selecting the right dance supplies. Her second endeavour, along with her husband Joe, is the raising of their three young daughters, Mia, Nicolette and Sophia! As the mother of three, Allison knows the challenges that moms face when shopping for a large family! Allison hopes at least one of her daughters will show and interest in either dance, skating or gymnastics!
